社區打樣空間 - 經典工程顧問有限公司_2014
寧夏路、錦西街是臺北早期的木材集散地，當地舊稱「柴寮仔」，與附近的興城打鐵街是臺北至今非常少見的都市輕工業地景，不僅保留許多傳統技藝及匠師，也是設計師聚集並稱為「台北工具箱」的地區。

位在巷口長久閒置的義消大隊空間，一直是當地的治安死角。臺北都市更新處從2013年起啟動了「盤點地區潛力空間」計畫，由經典工程團隊針對閒置空間進行初步整理。設計上反轉空間出入口，增加對向馬路人行道的開放性，也保留前庭植栽，改造後由居民及在地社群共同經營維護，成為辦理活動及交流的場所。

Classic Landscape Design and Planning _2014

Located in an area that is rich with wood, metal crafts and manufacturing in central Taipei city, it's the last few light industrial heritage still exist in the fast growing capital city. This is one of the pilot projects from Community Space Feasibility Study supported by Taipei City Urban Regeneration Office. The vacant and unused space was renovated by using local materials in collaboration with makers, craftsman and artists. It serves as a co-learning hub to galvanises local community. Datung Workshop is managed by local organisations and groups to offer equipments, public events, and spaces to encourage dialogue between designers, makers, students, and craftsman.
